Yeah, it's hard not to keep going over the past and going through all the ways we'd do it differently if we had another chance at it. I don't know if the sadness of making the right decision when it's the last thing we want to do ever goes away.

I can definitely relate. My father was hospitalized for 5 days before he passed. We stood at his deathbed for all this time, not leaving. It is haunting.

That is so great about Noodles helping the boy with autism. Maybe he will grow up to be a special education teacher! And Toots... it sounds like at least she is doing some positive things there, doing art therapy, joining the choir, etc. Sounds like they are steering her in the right direction, at least!
